I have never heard a good argument in the public domain for stating that Egypt Air or Swissair was shot down. Anyone can say anything they like. But where do we have the preponderance of the evidence as we have it in TWA 800?

Where does it go from here? Was JFK Jr. shot down as well?

This is exactly the thing that serves the interest of the government in the TWA 800 case. As soon as they can pidgeon-hole spokesmen for the TWA 800 case, such as yourself, with right-wing, anti-government kooks, who are always there regardless of the issue, then they win the battle for credibility in the public eye.

After that, you are just pissing in the wind. TWA 800 will never get the attention of the mainstream press again. Association with kooks is a death knell.

Which is why I question who is really working against the TWA movement and who is working for it.

If you want more than anything else in the world for the TWA 800 case to be broken open like Watergate, you must ditch the rest, no matter what you might think happened to those other flights. Forget about them. That other stuff is bait. That is a sucker's game. Don't play it.

Once you start claiming that other flights have also been missiled out of the sky, where rumors never existed in the public domain before, the public will see the TWA case as being just another conspiracy-kook cause.

TWA 800 was a winnable cause. You have reams of eyewitness accounts and even radar tapes to back it up. But even then, the public was fickle. They weren't quite sure who was telling the truth.

But if you gentlemen come along and now say, "Oh, by the way, Egypt Air 990 and SwissAir 111 were also missiled out of the sky. They were covered-up too", then all the effort to build up credibility in the public eye is lost for good.

Let's face it. This whole TWA 800 case is about public credibility. The government says "Believe us". We say, "No, believe us". It was tooth and nail there for awhile. We were holding our own.

But now if you want to start talking missiles on other flights as well, then it all becomes a joke, and everybody's efforts are wasted.

Remember, what this is all about. It is about public perception, not about truth in itself. We all know the truth of what happened to those people. We already have the truth. But without making a convincing case to the mainstream press of the world, and to the public that consumes their product, you have done a disservice to truth. To serve as a soldier in the battle for truth, you must make people believe it. That's how you win.

But if the public does not support your belief, then all the evidence in the world is not going to break open the case, and make the guilty confess. You will not win the battle. And truth will have lost.

And the battle is for credibility in the public eye, specifically, the mainstream press.

It was the mainstream press that broke Watergate.

That is the only way it can be done.

And expanding the conspiracy theory to include SwissAir 111 and Egypt Air 990, sabotages that effort.

Guilt by association. Keep the anti-government idiots as arm's length. They have nothing of value to add, only poison to taint you. Keep yourselves pure, keep focused, and keep hammering away at the facts of TWA 800. Don't allow yourself, in your enthusiasm, to get side-tracked down a dead-end lane. That's tantamount to giving up. And the truth will remain obscure forever.
