GRESHAM’S
LAW AND THE “GRESHIE” AWARDS

GRESHAM’S LAW is a principle of economics that states
that when debased currency (like a counterfeit or inflated
currency) is in circulation along with currencies retaining their
full values, those of full value will disappear over time. Simply
stated, the phrase “Bad money drives out the good” is
an expression of Gresham’s Law.

Gresham’s Law has found applications outside
economics. For example, successful propaganda and disinformation
campaigns have as their objective the driving out of good thought
by substituting a circulation of counterfeit thought. If
successful, these efforts result in the public discussing the
false ideas and largely ignoring the valid ones.

Using the definitions below can help the observer avoid the
pitfall s of Gresham’s Law in the matter of TWA Flight 800.
Adhering to strict interpretations of the following terms may
help the observer avoid the counterfeit ideas which swarm around
this topic.

1. FACT: “A thing known to be
true.”

2. PROOF: “A way or means of showing beyond
doubt
the truth of something.”

3. HYPOTHESIS: “Something assumed
because it appears likely to be a true explanation.”

4. GUESS: “To form an opinion without
really knowing
.”

5. SPECULATION: “(1) The action or process of guessing.
(2) The act or fact of taking part in any risky enterprise
or transaction
."

Book Encyclopedia

INTRODUCING
THE "GRESHIE" AWARDS

src="3dollar.jpg" width="614" height="255">

Proud symbol of the "GRESHIE"
Award is the 1864 Confederate State of Florida
Three-Dollar Bill.

Below is the August, 2000 start of an archive of nominations
for the “GRESHIE”, an award of recognition for
noteworthy accomplishment in the activity of disseminating weakly
supported, shaky, and debased ideas and information about TWA
Flight 800 to the public, thereby handicapping constructive
discussion based on facts.

By competing for the “GRESHIE”, the
individuals below unfortunately nurture the continued negative
social impact of Gresham’s Law and hurt the
cause of uncovering the truth about TWA Flight 800.

THE AUGUST, 2000
NOMINEES:

CANDIDATE ONE:

A NTSB board member, addressing the public on August 23, 2000
said:

"One of the things that we
don’t know about these witnesses was what their condition
was at the time they made these observations. You mentioned
someone at a yacht club on an evening during the summer - I
suspect that I know what some of their conditions might have
been."

CANDIDATE TWO:

An independent researcher appearing on a national radio
broadcast implied:

1. The U.S. government knows TWA
Flight 800 was destroyed by terrorists .

2.. The terrorists came from or
were sponsored by Iran.

3. The terrorists attacking TWA
Flight 800 used American Stinger missiles.

4. The American Stinger missiles
the terrorists used to attack TWA Flight 800 came from
Afghanistan.

5. TWA Flight 800 was hit by two
or three Stinger missiles.

6. One of the terrorists Stinger
missiles was launched from the beach.

7. Two Stinger missiles were
launched at TWA Flight 800 by terrorists on two separate boats.

8. The “30-Knot Track”
was a speedboat that wound up off the coast of New Jersey .

9. Boeing knows
its aircraft was attacked by terrorist missiles but will not
state that because of lucrative defense contracts it does not
want to jeopardize.

10. Instead of pursuing the
terrorists that attacked TWA Flight 800, the US government has
intentionally helped the terrorists avoid persecution.

...please return
often to view additional deserving efforts by "GRESHIE"
participants!...
