Susanne

Mark L. Berry... a couple years ago I wrote a song (minus the
music... so I guess it is technically a poem) when I started feeling like
there was no hope of convincing the world that the government was
covering up the truth behind TWA800. Take this in the context of artistic
expression... it would make a good theme song for "1984" or "The Matrix"
but I wrote it more of my feelings about 800 at the time and the helpless
feeling that no matter what I did I couldn't bring Susanne back.

                  One-Day c 1998 by Mark L. Berry
                  (For Susanne, Always for Susanne)

                  They're not here for you
                  They're not here for me
                  They're just here for themselves
                  As you will see

They look up to no one
                  They look down on you
                  Everything that they say
                  Everything that they do

                  One-Day
                  One day we will see
                  One-Day
                  One day we will be
Just a product of our complacency
Then there won't be anything left for you and me

                  I believed they were good
                  And that life was fair
                  That my water was clean
That I could still breathe the air
But these aren't rights that I own
                  They've been taken away
Now that I've opened my eyes
                  I see it everyday

                  One-Day
                  One day we will see
                  One-Day
                  One day we will be
Just a product of our complacency
Then there won't be anything left for you and me

                  As I forge ahead
                  I wonder where I'll go
                  They won't let me stay
Now that they know I know
They still hold all the cards
                  They still run the show
                  Maybe soon there won't be
                  Anywhere else to go

                  Oh, one-day
                  Oh, one-day
                  Oh, one-day
                  Oh, no day like today
