I need to restate something. This multi-part report we are putting
out is "preliminary". We call it that because the NTSB's Final
Report has not been released and in all likelihood some new factual data
will be released along with their Final Report. But we were convinced of two things when we decided to go ahead and
release our analysis: a. the NTSB's conclusion that tail separation was the cause of the
crash is steadfast, and ... b. we believed we had enough information that challenged their
conclusion and we could find no compelling reason to delay our
response. We were literally sitting on all this for months. That said ... ... we've released Parts 2 and 3 of the report. You can get to them
