ME - MUSCONGUS BAY - ST. GEORGE RIVER - The following
uncharted aids have been permanently relocated: St George River Buoy 18 (LLNR
4905) 44²04'13.4N, 069²10'43.1W and St. George River Buoy 23 (LLNR 4920)
44²04'03.9N, 069²10'46.5W.

MA - WEST YARMOUTH - Dredging is being done at the entrance
channel of Parkers River until 30 July, 1996. The hours of operation will be
Monday - Friday, 24 hours a day. The vessel AGM will be on site. Pipeline is in
the channel and Mariners are advised to use caution while in the area.

MA - MASSACHUSETTS BAY - Oceanographic work will be done,
including the deployment of cages to collect data, in the following position
42²22'43.8N, 070²47'10.0W. All cages will be deployed approximately 40 feet
below the surface. Deployment is scheduled for 27 June and the cages will be
collected 28, August, 1996.

CT - CT RIVER - The navigation lights on the Portland
Railroad Bridge at mile 32 are extinguished.

NY - SHINNECOCK BAY - Six steel rusted mooring balls
anchored to the bottom in the vicinity of Sloop Channel Buoy 7 (LLNR 31025) and
Sloop Channel Lighted Buoy10 (LLNR 31030)
in Sloop Channel near Jones Inlet have been observed. The Buoys are
unlit. Mariners should proceed with caution while in the area.
Chart(s) 12352 LNM 25/96 (CGD1)
NJ - GREAT BEDS REACH - A 12" X 12" piling of
unknown lengths or possibily part of a pier structure is adrift within the
vicinity of Great Beds Reach. This hazard has been marked by attaching a bleach
bottle and a stick with a red streamer to the top of the hazard. Both are
visable at low tide, but at high tide the hazard is completely submerged.

MASSACHUSETTS - NEW BEDFORD HARBOR - ACUSHNET RIVER - Bridge
Repairs/Advance Notice - The Route 6 New Bedford-Fairhaven Highway Bridge owned
and operated by Massachusetts Highway Department is undergoing major repairs
that began in January of 1995 and will continue through July of 1996. Barges
(30'X90') are still be working the east channel. Available horizontal clearance
at the east draw are reduced to approximately to 60-65 feet. The barges will be
moved out of the channel upon request for vessels that can not pass while they
are present. Mariners are advised to
use the west draw if possible. Requests must be made 24 hours in advance 7 a.m.
to 5 p.m. daily by calling Kiewit Construction at (508) 991-2225. Also, due to
the electrical problem, the bridge will only be able to open every two hours,
until further notice. Mariners are

NEW YORK - SHINNECOCK BAY TO EAST ROCKAWAY INLET - FIRE
ISLAND INLET - Vertical Clearance Reduction - Painting of the Robert Moses
Causeway bridge across Fire Island Inlet at mile 4.0 is in progress. A work
platform is installed under the bridge from Fire Island to Captree Island,
reducing the available vertical clearance by approximately 6 feet. Hours of
operation are from 0700 to 1800 daily, Mondays through Saturdays. This project
is expected to be completed by 28 June 1996. Mariners are advised to reduce
wake and exercise caution when transiting the area.

NEW YORK - NEW YORK HARBOR - RARITAN BAY - Fender Repair -
Repairs to the fender system of the NJ Transit (Perth Amboy) RR swing bridge
across Raritan River at mile 0.5 will commence on or about 17 June 1996. A work
barge measuring 22ft X 42ft will be blocking the north draw from 17 June to 28
June 1996, mariners are advise to transit the south draw. On 1 July through 5
July the south draw be block, and mariners are advise to transit the north
draw. Mariners are advised to to reduce wake and exercise caution when
transiting the area.

NEW JERSEY - SANDY HOOK TO LITTLE EGG HARBOR - SHREWSBURY
RIVER - Bridge Closure - The Route 36 bridge across Shrewsbury River at mile
1.8 will not open to marine traffic on 29 June 1996 from 2130 to 2300, to
accommodate the expected heavy traffic during the celebration of the 100th
anniversary of Fort Hancock. Mariners are advised to plan accordingly.
