Number 1 - A stinger missle CAN be fired straight up. Why do you insist on this fallacy? The missile will not fall out the rear of the launch tube. What is the use of a man portable missile that can only be launched at a maximum of 60 degrees (according to you)? The most critical 60 degrees (60-90 degrees and down to 60 degrees) of travel would not be usable! Your posts are so stupid on technology issues you reveal yourself as an idiot.

A missle fired at a 45 degree angle, due North, would appear to someone viewing it from the side at a distance to be rising at a 45 degree angle. However if this person were viewing this missle launch from a distance facing South, the missle would appear to rise straight up.

No, first the public needs to be convinced of the UTTER FALLACY of the NTSB report conclusions. This means forgetting theories and looking at the facts. The NTSB "THEORIZES" about the cause. The FACTS in their own report point to the inescapable conclusion that an external event, in all likely hood a missle, brought down TWA800. Forget what kind of missle or who's missle. Once the public accepts the FACTS, not the NTSB "theories", then the investigation can procede.
