Could it be that the US Navy was looking for terrorists and a decision was made that the crash occurred close enough to shore that the Navy commanders decided that boats and rescue craft from nearby harbors could take care of the rescue effort and the military would continue hunting for the terrorists WHO HAD JUST DOWNED A 747!?
We can speculate all day long as to the source of the objects hitting Flight 800. However the evidence that even the NTSB is in possession of and using for their own "theory" shows overwhelmingly that TWA800 crashed because of an external event, not the mystery explosion they keep putting out as "fact".
Please see my post above and answer those questions first. Once those questions are answered, then we can start looking for the REAL cause of the downing on TWA Flight 800.
