Note: It is telling that in the list of statistics reported about
Eyewitnesses, the NTSB chose to report "20% specifically reported seeing
no fire at all", rather than report the number who did report seeing a
fire, which according to independent reports was the vast majority of
witnesses. Further, many witnesses said they saw a fire before the tail
came off the aircraft. There is something wrong with an investigation
that goes so far out of its way to disparage eyewitnesses.
